I get my domestic ADSL connectivity from the rather excellent people at Andrews and Arnold.

Here’s why. And this is the original reason I moved to them.

They also happily take (and similarly reply to) GPG encrypted support questions.

Good guys. Thoroughly recommended.

Now can you /really/ see BT doing any of that?

‘thought not.

I may need a business service soon – must go and have a chat with them to see what they can come up with (lots of VoIP means needing QoS protected upstream bandwidth of about 1MB, or even a separate circuit (easier to protect), and probably with Draytek routers as they are quite good at handling backup connections.

I was unfortunate enough to be near a TalkTalk install a few months ago (doing someone a favour), and it appears that relies on BT to do some ground work. Which hadn’t happened. Which meant having wasted half a day waiting for an engineer, so it was a good thing I had other things to keep me busy..

Do give them a call. And take a look at RevK’s blog.
